Kreikemeier Wins Tunica Intercollegiate

TUNICA, Miss. — Missouri State’s Max Kreikemeier dominated the field and captured individual medalist honors here at the Tunica National Intercollegiate.

The Bears’ senior carded rounds of 70-67-68–205 on the par 72, 7,204-yard course to capture his first individual title of the season. His 11-under par total outdistanced tournament runner-up Andre Jacobs (70-68-70–208) of North Alabama by three strokes and was well ahead of third-place finisher Thomas Schmidt of Arkansas State (75-69-67–211).

Host Arkansas State (292-283-288-863) shared team championship honors with UT Arlington (284-294-285–863) while North Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana and Jacksonville State rounded out the top five teams in the 12-team field. Missouri State (302-299-298–899) finished 12th in the team standings.

The Bears will now focus on next week’s Missouri Valley Conference Championship in Coal Valley, Ill., with the 54-hole event kicking off on Sunday.
