Conrad Claims First in the 800m During Final Day of Raleigh Relays

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri track and field team senior Christopher Conrad claimed first place in the men’s 800m to lead the Tigers during the third and final day of the Raleigh Relays on Saturday.

Conrad’s time of 1:47.89 was just 58 milliseconds off his personal best which ranks fifth all-time in program history.

NOTABLE FINISHES

  • Sophomore Kelsey Schweizer ran 2:08.07 in the women’s 800m — placing 11th overall.
  • Freshman Brianna Lee made her outdoor collegiate debut in the event, finishing in 2:13.91.
  • Sophomore Johnny Martin followed behind Conrad in the 800m, finishing in 1:51.88 to notch a new personal-best time.
  • Sophomore Jack Warner (1:52.31), freshman Dan Brookling (1:52.46) and freshman Lewis Hainey (1:52.54) rounded out the day in the 800m.

UP NEXT

Missouri will continue its outdoor season next week at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays. The four-day event begins Wednesday in Austin, Texas.
