Kaylee DaMitz-Holt named Academic All-American

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury guard Kaylee DaMitz-Holt was named a Second Team Academic All-American by the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA). 15 honorees at the NCAA-II level were selected for having a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and for their outstanding achievement on the court during the season.
 
Kaylee DaMitz-Holt averaged 16.4 points, 3.7 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. The graduate student from Preston, Missouri and Skyline HS product was a First Team All-GLVC selection this year and was named to the GLVC All-Tournament team. DaMitz-Holt finished the year ranked fourth in the league in scoring, fourth in assists, and third in assists. She shot 40 percent from three-point range, ranked in the top 10 in the conference in three-point percentage and three’s made during the season. DaMitz-Holt was also a three-time Player of the Week winner in the GLVC and topped 2,000 career points and 600 career assists during the season.
 
DaMitz-Holt was named to the Academic All-District team earlier this year and carried a 4.00 cumulative GPA working toward a Master’s degree in Integrated Leadership.
 
The Lady Panthers ended the season with a 31-2 after advancing to the NCAA-II Midwest Regional semifinals, where they lost to fifth-ranked Grand Valley State 61-53 on Saturday in Ashland, Ohio. Drury won the GLVC championship going 20-0 in conference play, and they won the league tournament on March 5th in St. Charles, Missouri. Their 31-2 record and winning percentage of .939 is the program’s fourth-best mark in team history.
