OZARK, Mo.—Drury will host one of only two teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference that is off to a 4-0 start in league play as the Panthers face William Jewell at home in a four-game series starting Friday. Weather has adjusted the schedule for the weekend and the two teams will play a doubleheader starting at 2 pm on Friday, then will play single games on Saturday at 2 pm and Sunday at 2 pm at US Baseball Park in Ozark.
 
Drury is 10-10 and 1-3 in the conference. The Panthers went 1-3 last weekend at eighth-ranked Illinois Springfield to open their GLVC schedule. William Jewell is 13-4 and starting their conference schedule with a four-game sweep of Missouri S&T in Liberty. The Cardinals had won 12 in a row from Feb. 25 to March 15 when Upper Iowa snapped the win streak, defeating William Jewell 16-6. 12 of William Jewell’s 13 wins have been in their own park, while Drury has gone 7-1 this season at US Baseball Park.
 
The Panthers won three out of four from William Jewell last year, with the series played in Liberty. Drury is 25-15 all-time against the Cardinals.
 
After this weekend’s series, the Panthers travel to Missouri S&T for a four-game series March 24-26 in Rolla.
