Kaylee DaMitz-Holt, Alana Findley named All-Midwest Region

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury guard Kaylee DaMitz-Holt and forward Alana Findley were named to the All-Midwest Region team by the D2CCA in a vote of the region’s college sports communicators. DaMitz-Holt was named to the First Team while Findley was a Second Team selection.
 
Kaylee DaMitz-Holt was picked to the First Team All-Region pick after averaging 16.4 points, 3.7 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. The graduate student from Preston, Missouri and Skyline HS product was a First Team All-GLVC selection this year and was named to the GLVC All-Tournament team. DaMitz-Holt finished the year ranked fourth in the league in scoring, fourth in assists, and third in assists. She shot 40 percent from three-point range was ranked in the top 10 in the conference in three-point percentage and three’s made during the season. DaMitz-Holt was also a three-time Player of the Week winner in the GLVC and topped 2,000 career points and 600 career assists during the season.
 
Alana Findley earned her second career All-Midwest Team selection as she was named to the Second Team. The senior from Fair Grove averaged 14.1 points and led the GLVC in steals averaging 2.7 per contest. Findley was also among the conference leaders in field goal percentage (.492), she shot 50 percent from three-point range, and averaged 5.8 rebounds. She became one of only four players in Drury women’s basketball history to compile more than 1,000 career points, 500 career rebounds and more than 150 steals. Findley was also a First Team All-GLVC selection this postseason.
 
The Lady Panthers ended the season with a 31-2 after advancing to the NCAA-II Midwest Regional semifinals, where they lost to fifth-ranked Grand Valley State 61-53 on Saturday in Ashland, Ohio. Drury won the GLVC championship going 20-0 in conference play, and they won the league tournament on March 5th in St. Charles, Missouri. Their 31-2 record and winning percentage of .939 is the program’s fourth-best mark in team history.
