Panthers fall to Central Missouri at home

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury was defeated in Wednesday’s showdown with Central Missouri 13-1.
 
The Mules went to 13-6 while sending the Panthers to 9-7.
 
Central Missouri took the lead in the second with three runs, then added runs in the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. The Mules bats were scorching hot and put the game out of reach for the Panthers.

Several hitters for Central Missouri had multiple hits, including a four-hit performance by Max Holy.
 
The lone run for the Panthers came on a single to left field by Wes Collins that scored Brooks Sunny. Max Elmer along with Tyler Bastunas, and Kellen Williamson, were the other Drury batters to register hits in the contest.
 
Cole Schroeder got the win for the Mules, going four innings and not allowing a run. Tyler Bastunas (0-2) took the loss for the Panthers.
 
Drury travels to take on Illinois-Springfield in a four-game series starting Friday at 1 pm.
