Panthers shut out Maryville

 
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury recorded their first shutout of the year as the Panthers defeated Maryville 7-0 at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield on Monday.
 
Drury improved to 4-1 and dropped the Saints to 1-4.
 
The Panthers took a 1-0 after doubles winning two matches and winning the third by forfeit.
 
Sylvain Garin-Michaud went to 5-0 in singles this year with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Mario Aleksic. Yaroslav Sharvy, Marlon Wilken, Tjade Bruns, Louka Queguiner all picked up wins in straight sets, while Oscar Reis won by forfeit. Sharvy also went to 5-0 in singles on the season following his win on Monday.
 
Drury plays again on Friday when they host Northwest Missouri State at 8 pm at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
