Drury blanks Maryville

 
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury won their fifth straight match with a 7-0 win over Maryville at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield on Monday.
 
The Panthers went to 5-1 and dropped the Saints to 3-2.
 
Drury took a 1-0 lead winning all three doubles matches. Drury’s leading doubles of Ewe Samberger and Kseniia Eremina swept Maryville’s number one squad 6-0.
 
The Panthers took all six singles matches. Leana Chanova won in a tie-breaker, 6-2, 6-7 (10-4) over Nazli Saka in the number five spot. Alma Abazi went to 6-0 this season with a 6-1, 6-2 victory of Victoria Lisson.
 
Drury returns to action on Friday when they host Northwest Missouri State on Friday at 8 pm in the Cooper Tennis Complex.
