Swimming and Diving Clubs Earn Scholar All-America Team Honors

RICHMOND, Va.  Both the Missouri State men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were selected as Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced today.

“This award is one we take a lot of pride in,” head coach Dave Collins said. “The academic excellence of our student-athletes is our top priority. I am proud of the team for their efforts and very appreciative of our support staff and advisors that play a role in the teams success in the classroom.”

On the women’s side, the 31 participating swimmers and divers racked up a team GPA of 3.60. For the men’s club, its 23 participants earned a team GPA of 3.39. Both the men’s and women’s teams showed improvement from last year’s GPA totals, with the 2021-22 women’s and men’s squads recording team GPAs of 3.46 and 3.34, respectively.

With only the conference meets remaining, the MSU women’s team heads to Iowa City, Iowa for the Missouri Valley Conference Championships on Feb. 15-18, while the men’s club travels to Oxford, Ohio for the Mid-American Conference Championships lasting from March 1-4.
