Drury still ranked number two in NCAA-II coaches’ poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury Lady Panthers are ranked number two in the nation in NCAA-II women’s basketball in this week’s coaches’ poll. It marks the fourth week in a row Drury is ranked second nationally.
 
Ashland (21-0) received all 23 first-place votes and is ranked first, followed by the Lady Panthers, and Tampa (19-1) remained at number three. Texas Woman’s College (19-1) is ranked fourth and Glenville State (18-2) is fifth as the top five teams went unchanged this week.
 
The Lady Panthers have won 16 straight games, are 20-1 and 13-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. 
 
The week’s poll marks the 146th consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been ranked in the top 25, the longest such streak in the nation. It is also their 84th straight week to be ranked in the top 10.
 
Drury plays Thursday at Missouri S&T with a 5:30 pm game in Rolla. The next home game for the Lady Panthers is Feb. 9, when they host Maryville at 5:45 pm in the O’Reilly Family Event Center.
