Panthers face first-place Quincy to wrap up road trip
Drury takes on a Quincy team tied for first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference as they wrap up a three-game, six-day road trip on Monday against the Hawks. Tipoff is at 7:30 pm.
 
The Panthers are 6-10 and 2-6 in the GLVC. Drury is 1-1 on the trip, having won 79-78 in overtime at Lewis on Thursday, then lost on Saturday, 81-58, at Illinois Springfield.
 
Quincy is 10-6 and 6-2 in the conference. The Hawks are in a three-way tie for first place in the league with Missouri-St. Louis and Indianapolis. Quincy is coming off an 81-79 loss to Southwest Baptist at home on Saturday in a defeat that snapped a six-game winning streak.
 
Monday’s game is the second meeting between the two teams. Drury host to Quincy at home on Dec. 10, 67-64.
 
After Monday’s game, the Panthers are back home on Thursday to take on William Jewell at 7:45 pm.
 
All-Time Series
Drury leads the all-time series against Quincy 30-21. The Hawks won the earlier meeting this season, 67-64, at Drury on Dec. 10. Quincy has won each of the last three meetings against the Panthers, with all three decided by one possession. The two teams didn’t play at all in 2020-21 with the lone meeting canceled due to COVID-19 issues on the Drury roster.
