Lady Panthers continue road trip vs. Illinois Springfield
The Drury Lady Panthers play their second game of a three-game road trip on Saturday at Illinois Springfield. Tipoff is at 1 pm.
 
Drury is tied for the number two ranking in this week’s NCAA-II coaches’ poll and is 14-1 with a 7-0 record in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. The Lady Panthers extended their winning streak to 10 games with an 82-75 win at Lewis on Thursday.
 
Illinois Springfield is 1-14 and 1-6 in the GLVC. The Prairie Stars lost at home Southwest Baptist, 72-65, on Thursday. Their only win of the season came last Saturday with an 84-71 win over Rockhurst.
 
After Saturday’s game, Drury’s road trip concludes with a game at Quincy on Monday at 5:30 pm.
 
Findley 3 points away from 1,000
Drury forward Alana Findley is just three points away from reaching 1,000 in her career. She will become the 21st player in program history to reach the milestone. Findley is already among Drury’s all-time leaders in rebounding as she ranks 11th with 523, and she is 12th all-time in steals with 169. Only eight players in team history have ever topped both 1,000 points and 500 rebounds, and only three have more than 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 150 steals.

Drury has never lost to Illinois Springfield. The Lady Panthers are 16-0 in team history against the Prairie Stars and won both games against UIS last year.
