Panthers with five named to all-conference team

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Drury women’s soccer team had five players named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference team in a vote of league coaches.
 
Junior forward Elsa Gonzalez was named a Second Team performer. The native of Guadalix de la Sierra, Madrid, Spain was tied for the team lead in goals with four, with two of those goals being game-winners. Last season’s GLVC Offensive Player of the Year earned her third All-GLVC team nod, being named to the Third Team in 2020 and the First Team in 2021.
 
Andrea Camargo was named to the Second Team All-GLVC. The Covina, California native achieved her second straight Second Team all-conference selection. Camargo was a mainstay in the Panthers’ backline as she helped lead the team to 11 shutouts and only nine goals conceded. She also chipped in offensively with a goal and assist.
 
Keeley Combs, a senior midfielder from Ozark, Missouri, landed on the all-conference list for the second-straight season and was named a Third Team selection. Combs had one goal and two assists as well as having provided a steady presence in midfield.
 
Junior defender Kourtney Tucker was named a member of the All-GLVC Third Team. Ever-present in the starting lineup, she provided two assists on the year. The Springfield Central product also helped the Panthers only concede nine goals and keep 11 shutouts.
 
Tara Simon earns her first All-GLVC nomination in her young career. The sophomore forward from Brighton, Michigan
scored four goals and provided one assist to follow up her GLVC Freshman of the Year season in 2021.
 
The Panthers finished the year 6-3-8 and 3-2-7 in the GLVC.
