Dixon Records 1,000th Kill Against Georgia

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri volleyball sent it to five sets against Georgia, but a strong first set by Georgia propelled them to the 3-2 win (14-25, 25-16, 25-23, 17-25, 15-11). 

Mizzou (8-12, 1-9 SEC) had the duo of Kaylee Cox and Anna Dixon reach double-digit kills. Cox led the Tigers with an impressive  22, while Dixon added 16 to help the Tigers’ offensive charge. 

Georgia (16-5, 7-5 SEC) had Kacie Evans lead the offensive efforts. Evans led the offensive charge with 17 terminations. Sophie Fischer produced nine and Meghan Froemming respectively had eight  terminations for the Bulldogs.

In the third set Dixon hit a career milestone recording her 1000th kill as a Tiger.

  • Riley Buckely : 29 assists, 5 blocks, 12 digs,

  • Trista Strasser: 7 blocks, 1 ace
