Collin Emmert named GLVC Runner of the Week in men’s cross country

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury men’s cross country runner Collin Emmert was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference following his performance at the Hornet Harrier Invitational hosted by Emporia St. last Friday.
 
Emmert, a freshman from Carl Junction, Missouri, led the Panthers to a fourth-place finish last week at the Hornet Harrier Invitational in Emporia, Kansas. He finished 12th overall in the eight-kilometer race, posting a career-best time of 26:51.82.
 
The award marks the first weekly honor from the GLVC in Emmert’s career. The last Panther to win the award was Seva Nix on Sept. 25, 2018.
 
The Drury cross country teams race again on Saturday at the UAH Invitational in Huntsville, Alabama.
