Panthers fall in three sets at Arkansas-Fort Smith

FORT SMITH, Ark. – Arkansas-Fort Smith hit .303 as a team as they swept Drury 3-0 in a non-conference match on Tuesday in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
 
The Lions improved to 10-8 and dropped the Panthers to 7-12.
 
Arkansas-Ft. Smith won the first set 25-16, took the second 25-20, and closed out the match with a 25-13 win in the third. The Lions recorded 42 kills against just 12 errors and were led by Paola Fragelle’s 13 kills and two aces. Caelyn Gunn recorded 10 kills, while Kaelyn McDonald added four blocks.
 
Stormi Tadlock and 10 kills to lead Drury and Chloe Rear added 19 assists. 
 
The Panthers return to league play on Friday when they travel to Missouri-St. Louis for a game Friday at 6 pm.
