Panthers tied for the team lead at Drury Invitational

BOLIVAR, Mo.— The Drury women’s golf team is tied for the lead after the first round of play at the Drury Invitational at Silo Ridge Country Club in Bolivar on Monday. The Panthers are tied with Christian Brothers in the 15-team event after both teams shot a 20-over-par 308. Both squads own a five-shot lead over third-place Illinois Springfield going into Tuesday’s second and final round.
 
Two Drury are tied for second place after one round as Taryn Overstreet and Isabelle Thrall both fired a three-over-par 75 and are among five players tied for second. Evangel’s Katelyn Swope leads the pack and the 89-player field by one shot after shooting 74.
 
Drury’s Carmen Fletcher is tied for 15th after posting a six-over-par 78. Grace Stafford is tied for 27th at eight-over-par (80), and Abby Howard shot 81 (+9) and is tied for 35th.   
 
The final round starts at 8:30 am on Tuesday in Bolivar.
