Panthers tie Truman State 0-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Drury and Truman State battled through a sweltering afternoon to a scoreless tie on Sunday at Harrison Stadium / Curry Sports Complex.
 
The Panthers went to 3-1-3 and 1-0-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while the Bulldogs went to 3-1-2 and 1-0-2 in the league.
 
Drury goalkeeper Tyler Frolik had six saves in the shutout and his Truman State counterpart, Justin Olwig, made five stops. Five of the Bulldogs’ six shots were on-goal as the Panthers outshot Truman State 12-6. Drury’s Kaelan Debbage led both teams with four shots and three on-goal.
 
The draw was the second straight tie for the Panthers. The NCAA discontinued overtime play this season, ending games after 90 minutes of regulation.
 
Drury travels 30 minutes north to Bolivar for their next game as they take on Southwest Baptist on Friday night at 7:30 pm.
