Panthers defeat Truman State in four sets

Kirksville, Mo. – The Drury Panthers defeated the Truman State Bulldogs in four sets on Friday. 

Drury improved to 6-6 while the Bulldogs dropped to 0-9. 

The Bulldogs took the first set soundly winning 25-11. Set two went to the Panthers 25-23 and evened the match. The Panthers were just getting started as set three proved to be their toughest challenge. After a grueling and high-scoring battle, set three went to the Panthers 30-28. The Panthers then cruised in set four to close out the game. 

Salma Lewis led Drury with 12 kills along with Chloe Rear who tallied 11 kills. Rear also had 23 assists while Juliana Squire led the Panthers with 16 digs. 
The Panthers travel to Liberty, Missouri tomorrow to take on William Jewell at 3 pm.
