Swimming and Diving Earns Scholar All-America Distinction

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Missouri State men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs were named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) Scholar All-America teams for the Spring 2022 semester, the organization announced this week.

MSU was one of 461 schools to receive the award for the spring semester after receiving the distinction in the fall, as well. Teams were selected on the basis of their spring grade point averages and represent 17,845 student-athletes.

“Coach Collins has clearly set a standard of academic excellence for these swimmers and divers.” CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart said.

The men’s team garnered a team GPA of 3.18 on a 4.0 scale for the spring, while the women finished the semester with a GPA of 3.48.

The CSCAA was founded in 1922 and was the first organization of college coaches oriented around advancing the sport at the college level, providing leadership amongst institutions throughout the U.S.
