13 Drury teams win GLVC Team Academic awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— 13 of Drury’s 19 teams that compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference were honored with a Team Academic All-GLVC Award by the league this week. The GLVC recognizes each team from member institutions that maintained a 3.30-grade point average for the academic year.

The top grade point average among Drury teams in 2021-22 was the women’s soccer team. They posted a 3.63 GPA, and on the field during the 2021 season, went 16-5-1, won the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament championship, and made the program’s first NCAA-II Tournament appearance since 2007. The Panthers went 10-3-1 during the league’s regular season for a second-place finish, their highest placement in the league standings in team history.

The top GPA among Drury’s men’s programs was men’s cross country. That squad posted a 3.52 grade point average and finished fourth at the GLVC championships, their best finish in the league in 11 years.

173 teams won the Team Academic All-GLVC Award that included the league’s 15 full-time members and five affiliate members.
