NCAA Championships: Day One

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Christopher Conrad competed for University of Missouri track and field at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Wednesday. The four-day meet is hosted by the University of Oregon at Hayward Field.

Conrad concluded his 2022 collegiate season with a 20th-place finish in the first heat of 800m semifinal (1:48.56). He clocked a personal best of 1:47.33 two weeks ago at the NCAA West Prelims, also the No. 5 performance in Mizzou history.

The women begin competition on Thursday with the javelin (6:45 p.m. PT / 8:45 p.m. CT) and triple jump (7 p.m. PT / (9 p.m. CT).

Women’s Entries:

Thursday: Sophia Rivera (javelin)

– second outdoor championships

– ranks 14th among those competing with a 51.68m / 168-7 from the NCAA West Prelims

Thursday: Ava Curry (javelin)

– first outdoor championships

– ranks 23rd among those competing with a 50.36m / 165-3 from the NCAA West Prelims

Thursday: Ayele Gerken (long jump)

– first outdoor championships

– ranks fourth among those competing with a season best of 6.48m / 21-3.25

Saturday: Mara Häusler (triple jump)

– second outdoor championships, two total

– ranks eighth among those competing with a season best of 13.56m / 44-6

Saturday: Arianna Fisher (triple jump)

– second outdoor championships, four total

– ranks 10th among those competing with a 13.42m / 44-0.5 from the NCAA West Prelims

Men’s Entries:

Friday: Roberto Vilches (high jump)

– second outdoor championships, four total

– ranks 18th among those competing with a 2.15m / 7-0.5 from the NCAA West Prelims

Friday: Georgi Nachev (triple jump)

– third outdoor championships, fifth total

– ranks sixth among those competing with a season best of 16.27m / 53-4.5
