Fresh off a Missouri Valley Conference Tournament championship, the Missouri State Bears (30-27) head to their 12th NCAA Division Regional and fourth in the last eight years this week in Stillwater, Okla. The Bears begin play at 6 p.m. Friday, June 3, against No. 7 overall seed and host Oklahoma State, while Arkansas and Grand Canyon make up the other half of the four-team regional.

2) MSU is 22-24 all-time in the NCAA Tournament with Super Regionals in 2003, 2015 and 2017 and a College World Series trip in 2003.

3) The Bears have collected 226 extra base hits in 57 games and rank in the top 20 nationally in slugging percentage (20th – .507), home runs (16th – 99) and homers/game (16th – 1.79).

4) MSU’s slugging figure is the program’s best since leading the nation with 144 homers and slugging .626 in 1999. The Bears are also two extra-base hits from eclipsing the 2016 team for most since 1999.

5) Missouri State’s home run total of 99 ranks third in school history and 10th in MVC history. Only DBU (101 in 2021) has hit the century mark among league schools this millenium. The Bears have hit five or more home runs in four games this season, has six different players with a multi-homer game, and has hit back-to-back long balls on eight occasions. Missouri State has scored 10-plus runs in a game 17 times and five or more runs in an inning 21 times this season.

6) Senior Dakota Kotowski ranks 9th nationally with 23 home runs and 10th at 0.41 homers per game. The MVC and Collegiate Baseball Player of the Week on April 25, Kotowski is one of three Bears with at least 14 home runs, joined by Drake Baldwin (16) and Mason Hull (14).

7) Missouri State has turned 46 double plays on the year to rank 36th nationally in total DPs and 50th in per game average at 0.81. The Bears are fielding .981 with 17 total errors in the last 26 games.

8) Opposing bullpens have a combined 9.23 ERA against Missouri State this season. The Bears are hitting .308 and average 4.6 runs per game against opposing relievers with 54 home runs. Missouri State has scored more runs than games played in the fifth, seventh and eighth innings this season.

9) Head coach Keith Guttin ranks third among active coaches and 16th overall with 1,339 career wins.
