CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams

SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State’s Cam Cratic was recognized for his efforts in the classroom Thursday (May 12) with a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 First Team.

Cratic, a fifth-year senior outfielder from Madison, Wis., is hitting .278 with three home runs and 17 RBI in 31 games this season. He hit two home runs in an inning on April 3, 2022 at Samford, believed to be a first in school history, and has six career game-winning RBI, including three in 2022.

Cratic is the male recipient of MSU’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year award this year, which is given annually to the graduating senior with the highest cumulative grade point average. He owns a 3.81 GPA as a sociology major.

With his inclusion on the first-team all-district team, Cratic advances to the Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced June 8.

To be eligible for Academic All-America consideration, student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) in both undergraduate and graduate work. Student-athletes must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their current institution and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
