SPRINGFIELD, Mo.– The Drury Panthers open the GLVC Tournament against Indianapolis on Thursday at 7:30 pm at the Lou Brock Complex in St. Charles, Missouri.
 
Drury is 36-14 and won the GLVC’s Green Division with a 21-7 conference record. The Greyhounds went 20-29 with a 13-15 league record and finished fourth in the Blue Division.
 
The Panthers enter the league tournament having won seven of their last eight games. They swept Missouri-St. Louis at home, then took three of four at William Jewell last weekend. Drury leads the GLVC in offense with a .350 team batting average and ranks fifth in pitching with a 6.26 earned run average.
 
Drury will be playing Indianapolis for the first time this season and is 11-6 all-time against the Greyhounds. The two teams have not played since the 2019 season.
 
The winner of Thursday’s game will advance to Game 8 of the tournament and play the winner of Quincy and Lindenwood on Friday at 7:30 pm. The loser of the two games play one another in an elimination game on Friday at 12:30 pm. The Hawks and Lions play the 5 pm game on Thursday.
 
The tournament concludes on Sunday.
 
Drury has won three GLVC Championships in its program history, with titles in 2015, 2014 and 2007. They are 21-12 all-time in the league tournament.
