Sylvain Garin-Michaud, Marlon Wilken named All-GLVC

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury men’s tennis players Sylvain Garin-Michaud and Marlon Wilden were named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference team in a vote of league coaches last week. 
 
Sylvain Garin-Michaud, a junior from Saint Etienne, France, went 8-4 in singles playing each match in Drury’s number one position, and was a perfect 5-0 in the GLVC. With doubles partner Lukas Stierling, he was 8-2 in doubles and 4-0 in the conference. The award marks the first all-conference honor for Garin-Michaud.
 
Marlon Wilken was also named to the all-conference squad. The junior from Oldenburg, Germany, went 10-6 in singles and 4-1 in the GLVC. Wilken went 3-1 playing in Drury’s number one singles spot and won two of his three singles matches against nationally-ranked opponents.
 
Drury finished the season 9-7, 5-0 in the GLVC, and won the West Division during the regular season.
