Track & Field Wraps Up Crimson Tide Invitational

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — University of Missouri track and field finished the Crimson Tide Invitational with one event win.

NOTABLE FINISHES

Arianna Fisher (San Jose, Calif.) and Savannah Nevels (Streetsboro, Ohio) set new top-10 marks in the Mizzou outdoor record book in the women’s 100m. Fisher placed seventh with a time of 11.76 and Nevels placed 11th with a time of 11.94. They now sit at No. 7 all-time and No. 9 all-time, respectively.

Nevels also broke into the Mizzou top-10 mark list for the 200m with a time of 23.80. She now sits at No. 4 all-time. Rondajai Washington (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) moved to No. 6 all-time in the 200m with a mark of 23.91.

Claudina Diaz (Merida, Yucatan, Mexico) won the women’s high jump with a leap of 1.76m (5-9.25). Roberto Vilches (Mexico City, Mexico) placed second in the men’s high jump with a mark of 2.15m (7-0.5).

In the women’s javelin, Ava Curry (Liberty, Mo.) placed fifth with a mark of 51.28m (168-3), moving her up to No. 3 all-time.. Jason Edwards (Eldon, Mo.) also made Mizzou’s top-10 mark list with a throw of 65.67m (215-5). He now sits at No. 8 all-time.

UP NEXT

The Tigers will send squads to the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa on April 29-30 and the Kansas Invitational in Lawrence, Kan. on April 30.
