Drury ranked 24th in NCAA-II this week

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury women’s tennis team is ranked 24th in this week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association NCAA-II poll. Drury is 11-2 and 2-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
 
Barry is the number one ranked team this week, with Nova Southeastern ranked second and Saint Leo is third.
 
One other GLVC team is in the top 25 this week, with Indianapolis ranked seventh.
 
Drury’s doubles team of Kensiia Eremina and Ewa Samberger is ranked 47th nationally. The duo has gone 7-2 so far this season.
 
In men’s tennis, Drury’s Sylvain Garin-Michaud is ranked 49th in singles. The junior from France was named GLVC Player of the Week earlier this week and jumped from 74th to 49th in the latest national rankings. The Drury men’s team is ranked 53rd in NCAA-II this week.
 
Both Drury tennis squads return to action on Friday when they travel to Missouri-St. Louis for matches that start at noon. The DU women’s team is at home on Saturday when they host Northern Iowa at 2 pm at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
