Tigers Gear Up for Home Event

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri men’s golf team rounds out their final regular season event on their home turf this coming week at their annually-hosted event, the MU Tiger Invitational. All eight Tigers will be competing on the home course, five in the lineup and three as individuals, with hopes of defending the home course title.  

COMPETITIVE SLATE: Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Boston College, Bowling Green State, Central Arkansas, DePaul, Drake, Eastern Kentucky, Kansas City, Missouri, Missouri State, Morehead Satte, North Alabama, Oral Roberts, SIEU, South Dakota State, and Wichita State

WHERE: The Club at Old Hawthorne (Par 72, 7,221 yards).

WHEN: The two-day event will begin on Monday, April 11 with an 8 a.m. shotgun start and featuring two consecutive rounds, while the final round will conclude on Tuesday, April 12.

“We always look forward to our home tournament. It’s a great way to bring the guys home and give them a good shot at playing well to then go into  their next tournament, which is the SEC championship and post-season after that.

Jack Lundin

Continuing to be a headlining name for the Tigers, Lundin most recently tied his 54-hole event career score of a 6-under 210 at the Hootie. He fired all three rounds under-par for the first time in his career and continues to be the leading score average on the team with a 71.1.

Yu-Ta Tsai

Fired his career-low round score for the third time this season with a 5-under 67 in the second round of the Hootie to ultimately end with a 1-over 217. Tsai maintains hold of the second-best scoring average on the team with a 71.4.

Jack Parker

Rounding out his final regular season event ever on his home course, Parker comes off of a top-25 finish and another event under-par with his 2-under 214 at the Hootie.

Charlie Crockett

Coming off of a career-best event, Crockett fired all three rounds under-par to anchor his career-low 7-under 209 event score to lay claim on his first top-5 finish at the Hootie.

Tommy Boone

After posting back-to-back rounds under-par at the Hootie, Boone increased his season tally to five rounds under-par with his second-best round score of the season coming on day two with a 2-under 70.
