Panthers sweep William Jewell 7-0

 
SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— Drury swept past William Jewell on Senior Day with a 7-0 win at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield on Saturday.
 
The Panthers stayed unbeaten in the Great Lakes Valley Conference as they improved to 3-0 in the league and 7-6 overall. The Cardinals dropped to 7-13 and 0-3 in the GLVC.
 
Drury won two of the three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead, then won all six in singles. Sylvain Garin-Michaud, playing in Drury’s lead singles position, defeated Ugnius Bickauskis 6-3, 6-2, and Lukas Stierling picked up a 6-2, 6-4 win over Max Quennery.
 
The win marked Drury’s first shutout of the season.
 
The Panthers return to the courts on April 15 when they play at Missouri-St. Louis for a 2 pm match.
