MSU Tennis Set for Two-Match Road Trip

SPRINGFIELD – The Missouri State tennis team begins Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend when the Bears travel to Bradley and Illinois State for a two-match road trip Saturday and Sunday.  

The Bears (0-12) are looking to rebound after falling to Saint Louis, last week. The weekend’s first stop is Bradley, where the Bears will take on the Braves at 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Bradley comes into the matchup with a 6-11 overall record and is 0-1 in the MVC. The match will be aired on ESPN3. 

Next, MSU will face off against Illinois State on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Redbirds are 11-5 (1-0 MVC) so far this season and enter Sunday’s matchup on a four-match win streak.  

The match against Bradley will take place at the Parkside Tennis Courts in Pekin, Ill. while the Bears’ contest with Illinois State will be played at the Gregory Street Tennis Courts in Normal, Ill.
