EUREKA, Mo.— The Drury men’s golf team finished ninth among 18 teams at the Midwest Fall Regional hosted by Missouri-St. Louis at the Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Missouri, on Tuesday.
McKendree won the tournament shooting 893 in the 54-hole tournament, and won the six strokes over Southern Indiana. Missouri-St. Louis and Indianapolis tied for third at 907. The Panthers shot 934 to finish two shots better than Maryville.
Drury senior Chase Gafner led the Panthers and finished tied for 19th among 96 players shooting a +13, 229. Jack Cronin tied for 25th with a +14, 230, while Tony Brandt and Walker Tynes tied for 57th, shooting 239 (+23). Tryn Titus came in tied for 80th at 33-over-par, 249.
McKendree’s Phasin Vichitcharoenpaisarn won individual medalist honors shooting a one-over-par, 217, and won by three shots.
The Panthers compete again on Oct. 18-19 at the McKendree Dual Gender Tournament at the Far Oaks Golf Club in Caseville, Illinois.
