DU women’s swimming opens 2021-22 at Arkansas

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury women’s swimming & diving team opened the 2021-22 season at Arkansas in a triangular meet against the Razorbacks and Vanderbilt. Arkansas defeated Drury 175-83, and the Commodores also outscored the Panthers, 142-118.
 
Drury highlights

  • Drury went 1-2 in the 1000 Free with Allison Weber finishing first (10:24.85), and Aisling Allen was second (10:41.12)
  • The Panthers won the 400 Free Relay with Yasmin Preusse, Lexi Basler, Bec Cross, and Josie Bushell (3:31.27)
  • Freshman Aurora Duncan took second in the 200 Fly (2:06.63)
  • Kasia Rogowska was second in the 100 IM (59.14) and the 50 Free (23.76)
  • Cross and Weber went 2-3 in the 500 Free. Cross (5:04.70) was edged for the win by .09 seconds, while Weber posted a time of 5:06.15.
  • Drury finished 3-4 in the 200 Breast as freshman Claire Conover was third (2:20.38) and Luisa Machaco was fourth (2:23.52)
