MVC Announces Women’s Basketball 2021-22 Conference Schedule

ST. LOUIS – The Missouri Valley Conference announced its finalized 2021-22 women’s basketball schedule today (Sept. 14), with the Missouri State Lady Bears tipping off the conference season at home against Loyola on Friday, December 31.
Missouri State will begin its conference season with three straight home games, which includes matchups with Loyola (Dec. 31), Valparaiso (Jan. 2), and Southern Illinois (Jan. 7). The month of January features four home games and four road contests for MSU. The Lady Bears also welcome Bradley (Jan. 20) and Illinois State (Jan. 22) to JQH Arena in January. Missouri State heads to UNI (Jan. 13) and Drake (Jan. 15) for its first road trip of conference play, before closing out the month on the road at Evansville (Jan. 27) and Indiana State (Jan.29).
The Lady Bears close out a three-game road swing at Southern Illinois (Feb. 4) to open the month of February. Missouri State hosts Drake (Feb. 11), UNI (Feb. 13), Evansville (Feb. 24) and Indiana State (Feb. 26) to close out the regular season home schedule. The Lady Bears travel to Illinois State (Feb. 18) and Bradley (Feb. 20) in the middle of February, before closing out the regular season with back-to-back road games at Valparaiso (March 3) and Loyola (March 5).
The MVC Tournament will be held March 10-13 at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline, Ill.
MSU begins the regular season on November 9 with a trip to Little Rock, before hosting its home opener against North Texas on November 14. Missouri State’s non-conference schedule is packed with elite talent, including five Power Five matchups before tipping off conference play.
The Lady Bears return four starters from last season’s Sweet 16 team, as well as three other letterwinners from last year. MSU welcomes three freshman and three transfers to the 2021-22 squad that will be looking to win its third consecutive MVC regular season title in Coach Amaka Agugua-Hamilton’s third season at the helm of the Lady Bears.
