SPRINGFIELD – Missouri State has added Kelley Conway as an assistant athletic trainer in its Athletic Medical and Rehabilitation department. Conway, who came on board with a July 1 start date, will work with MSU’s women’s basketball and softball programs.
Conway served her internship at Missouri State during the 2020-21 academic year, working as the primary athletic trainer for the softball team and covering part of the women’s basketball season, including the Lady Bears’ NCAA Tournament run.
A native of Hillsboro, Mo., Conway played softball at Drury University in Springfield and graduated from DU with an exercise and sport science degree in 2018. She completed her Master’s in athletic training at Eastern Kentucky in 2020, spending time with the EKU and Marshall football programs and Furman men’s lacrosse team as part of her graduate work.
Conway is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Missouri ATA. Her hire is contingent on approval of the Missouri State University Board of Governors at its next scheduled meeting.
