Lady Panthers ranked fourth in NCAA-II coaches’ poll

SPRINGFIELD, Mo.— The Drury Lady Panthers are ranked fourth in this week’s Women’s Basketball Coaches Association NCAA-II poll. Drury is 13-1 and remained at their number four position for the second straight week after picking up road wins at McKendree and Southern Indiana.

The top six positions in the national poll were unchanged this week as Lubbock Christian (11-0) stayed number one, Lander (12-0) is ranked second, and Charleston (W. Va.) is number three. West Texas A&M (14-1) is behind the Lady Panthers in fifth, and Minnesota-Duluth (9-0) is ranked sixth.

Drury is the only team in the Great Lakes Valley Conference that is ranked in this week’s poll. Truman State (12-3) is received votes for the top 25. 

This week’s coaches’ poll marks the 114th consecutive week the Lady Panthers have been ranked in the top 25, the longest streak in the nation. It is also their 52nd straight week in the top 10.

Drury plans two home games this week as they host Indianapolis on Thursday at 5:30 pm and Lewis at 1 pm on Saturday in their Senior Day game.
